Wolfsberg to Venice Day 09

We left Wolfsberg after a nice breakfast and continued through the Austrian Alps or Dolomites, or something  like that.  I don't know, but they were pretty.  We had an uneventful journey and arrived at the Hilton Garden Inn in Mestre, It was around 1:30 pm.  We left our car parked in their underground garage, boarded a bus into Venice, got on a boat, and went to our hotel.  A slight mistake here.  We missed our drop off point for our hotel and found ourselves on the other side of the canal from the Venice Hilton. I put the hotel in my GPS and it showed us the location right across from us.  Either a boat or swim.  We were finally able to figure out the boat schedule and finally got over the canal in about 1 hour. What a relief.  A very nice hotel. We checked in and then started exploring Venice.  We ate some very good meals and saw some very interesting architecture.  We are in Venice for two days.  Tomorrow we will take a boat out to another island to visit the Murano glass factory. The weather is 75 degrees and sunny.
