Vienna, Finally, Day7

After completing the tour of the Eagles Nest, it was  time to turn our attention to Vienna.  After a lunch of Escargot, Bratwurst & Pils (the ladies had Goulash and Cola Light) we headed out.  We drove across Austria and spent a good part of the time attempting to translate the road signs.  Our windshield needed cleaning, so Harry used the windshield fluid as we were driving along.  A driver pulled up next to us and made motions that indicated his displeasure.  Linda recalled that it was impolite to use your windshield washers with a car behind you.  Who knew.
We arrived in Vienna on Saturday around 3:30pm.  Checked into the Marriott in the town center.  There was much anticipation in this portion of the trip.  The hotel was great, the city was lovely and we were excited.  Much to our disappointment, we found all businesses would be closing at 6:00pm and would not reopen until Monday.  So then we decided to take a tour.  Only to be told, it was too late to take a tour on Sunday, it would have to be Monday.  So, the ladies went shopping for two hours, we had a very nice dinner in a local restaurant, and decided to head toward Italy a day early.
I was going to watch the Auburn-LSU game, but the only football game on T.V. is soccer.  I tried to get it on my computer  through ESPN, but I received a message from ESPN that my computer device was not acceptable in Austria.  As a last resort, I logged onto the Auburn network and listened to the radio broadcast.  It appeared there was a driving rain during the game, plus we lost.  But I was dry and in Europe.
I must say we did not do justice to Vienna, but will save it for another day.  Another trip.....
