Murano Day10

Our 2nd day in Venice.  We met Harry & Amanda for breakfast and made plans for the day.  Harry & Amanda would stay in Venice and Linda and I would go to Murano.  We boarded our water taxi and went around to Roma Port.  Linda and I changed boats and proceeded to Murano.  By any standards, the boat was filled to its passenger capacity and then some, enough so that we were both concerned that our very safety was at risk.  We decided to disembark at the first opportunity and that opportunity came at the Murano Pier.  By the fact I am writing this post, you know the ship did not capsize.
We toured the glass factory and watched them make some very expensive glass.  Afterwards, a salesman tried to sell me $2,000.00 worth of vases.  They were pretty, but I showed restraint.  I knew I did not need that many vases.  We already had one at home.  We had lunch with a couple from Oregon and discussed briefly the Auburn -Oregon game a couple of years ago.  They barely knew Oregon had a football team.
When we parted company with Harry & Amanda, we were going to meet at a certain dock at 2:00pm.  If we were not there by 3:00, go without us.  We arrived at the dock @ 3:15.  The boat for our hotel was just leaving.  We figured we had missed them and would catch up at the hotel.  When we got off the boat, they were waiting on us.  We were all on the same boat, we just did not see them.
We had Gelato one more time and went up to the rooftop for cocktails and a magnificent  night time view of Venice.  We talked about the trip and made plans for our departure in the morning for the Lake Como region.  We had a wonderful time in Venice and could come here again....
